United Methodist Leadership Scholars

The United Methodist Leadership Scholars (UMLS) web site is designed to facilitate the process for United Methodist churches in the Southeastern Jurisdiction to supply names of high school students for the United Methodist Leadership Scholars program. It enables participants to log in, enter data, revise data, and extract data from the database. The site includes both front-end and back-end web pages for users.

The UMLS program is a joint project of the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation, the United Methodist General Board of Higher Education and Ministry, the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church, and United Methodist colleges in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Services Provided:

Conversion of existing site with deeply nested table layout to web standards with valid XHTML and CSS while maintaining previous design; Development of new pages for additional functionality; Collaboration with Perl programmer to integrate web pages and database; Usability testing; Documentation; Database maintenance; User support
